Minnesota electrical contractors have been critical contributors to the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) at the national level since its founding in 1901. Over the years, the local organization has changed its name and structure
several times. The modern history of the Twin Cities Chapter:
The Chapter’s jurisdiction parallels that of IBEW Locals 110, 292, & 343, generally extending from Minneapolis/St. Paul and St. Cloud west to the Minnesota/Dakotas border and South to the Iowa border.
The merger of the St. Paul and Minneapolis chapters to form Twin Cities NECA unites resources and expertise to better serve contractors across the region. This strengthened organization enhances its ability to provide innovative solutions, expanded networking opportunities, and more effective advocacy for the electrical contracting industry.
