NECA is a proud participant in several apprenticeship programs.
These three-to-five year programs are designed primarily to educate an entry-level person in conjunction with his or her on-the-job training, and help him or her to become a highly qualified electrician or low voltage installer/technician. The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees (JATCs) are affiliated with the National JATC (NJATC) (www.njatc.org), and are jointly funded by contractors and union members.

Minneapolis Electrical JATC
The Minneapolis JATC is a non-profit organization jointly sponsored by union members and union electrical contractors that is designed to provide a skilled, knowledgeable, and capable workforce for the unionized electrical industry within the jurisdiction of Local 292. Participants attend classes at the training facility in St. Michael, MN.

South Central Electrical JATC
A non-profit organization jointly sponsored by union members and union electrical contractors that is designed to provide a skilled, knowledgeable, and capable workforce for the unionized electrical industry within the jurisdiction of Local 343. Participants attend classes at the training center in Rochester, MN and Mankato, MN.

Minnesota Statewide Limited Energy JATC
The Limited Energy JATC is a non-profit organization jointly sponsored by union members and union electrical contractors that is designed to provide a skilled, knowledgeable and capable workforce for the unionized low-voltage industry within the state of Minnesota. Participants attend classes in Fridley or Duluth, MN.

St. Paul Electrical JATC
The St. Paul Electrical JATC is a dedicated training organization supported by union members and union electrical contractors. Its mission is to develop a skilled, knowledgeable, and highly qualified workforce for the unionized electrical industry within the jurisdiction of Local 110. Participants gain hands-on experience and attend classes at the state-of-the-art training center in St. Paul, MN.
